Merging Gradebooks

COMBINING CLASSES IN YOUR GENESIS GRADEBOOK

NOTE:  there can not be ANY assignments in the class prior to merging; if you already have assignments, run the Gradebook Summary Spreadsheet for that class, then delete the assignments.

 

TO MERGE CLASSES:

  1. Open your Genesis gradebook

  2. Click the subtab titled MERGE (2nd row of tabs)

  3. In the top box, use the drop down arrow to select the 1st class to be merged

  4. Select (by clicking in the “Select” column on the far left) the other classes to merge with the first class

  5. Scroll to bottom of page, click SAVE

     

    Posting Grades from a Merged Gradebook:

    Teachers who have merged gradebooks can now post grades for the entire merged class at once.  You no longer need to post individually for each class.  On the “POST GRADES TAB” you’ll see:  *Includes students from 2 gradebook(s).  This applies to Middle and High School teachers only.
